Fill Me Up

Fill me up with dreams, of thoughts of faraway places, of events unknown and new faces. Fill me up with tiredness, pleasure, calmness after a long ride, with quiet laughter, solitude and a soft bed.

Bathe me in the feeling of warm tea seeping down the throat, of the coolness of water touching dry lips. Fill me up with the function of moving, not thinking, not feeling. Fill me up with worry and horror and mistakes, of vulnerability, of carelessness, of death.

Fill me up with those strange things that I don’t know of yet — of love, of being enveloped in warmth, the joy of intimacy. Fill me up with the thought of fulfilling my dream.
